BBC Sport - History Will Be Freestyled
Creative : Milan Desai
Agency: BBC Creative
Media : TV/Social

Working alongside the ‘History Will Be Made’ campaign, I was tasked with creating content across BBC social channels to ramp up excitement from people that wouldn’t normally be interested in the World Cup tournament.

The main clip saw us shoot World Freestyle champion - Liv Cooke, showing off some of her most impressive ball skills; only this time using historic World Cup footballs (including the 1930 ’T Shape’ ball). This aired across the BBC, during the live World Cup.

BBC 1Xtra - History Will Be Cut

We teamed up with BBC Radio 1Xtra for a new World Cup show. From a salon, we got radio DJ Nick Bright to chat to some famous faces and members of the public, all whilst getting some of the most memorable World Cup cuts.

#BarbershopBallers streamed online and live through hitting the red button.

BBC Three - Historic Things Not To Say (to an Int'll Footballer)

To encourage a younger audience who wouldn’t normally be interested in the World Cup, we collaborated with BBC Three's famed series "Things Not To Say" to discuss the funny things footballers have overheard or been told by fans about losing (or winning) the World Cup.

BBC Radio 1 - History Will Be Created

We filmed a variety of top talent from BBC’s music festival - The Biggest Weekend; asking talent about their most memorable World Cup moments.

We even challenged a few to re-enact their favourite World Cup song. We developed a cross-posting strategy to amplify the reach of the content, working with teams across BBC Music, BBC One, Five Live and MOTD.
